Lukashenko’s visit to Turkmenistan over

ASHGABAT, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko completed his official visit to Turkmenistan on 5 November, BelTA has learnt.

At the one-on-one talks and the extended attendance meeting the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation as well as cooperation in the international arena. Following the talks Alexander Lukashenko and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a joint statement on strengthening friendship and cooperation between Belarus and Turkmenistan.

The Presidents praised the implementation of the previously made agreements and signed documents, expressed satisfaction with the present status of the Belarusian-Turkmen relations and confirmed readiness for their further strengthening.

Belarus and Turkmenistan also signed a number of documents to promote cooperation in various areas, including the banking sphere, science, education, sports, tourism and healthcare.
