Turkish MPs to visit Belarus soon

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – A delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey will pay an official visit to Belarus in the near term. The delegation will be led by Chairman of the Grand National Assembly Cemil Cicek. The information was released by Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov at the opening of the third session of the upper chamber of the parliament on 2 October, BelTA has learnt.

Speaking about plans for international cooperation, Anatoly Rubinov noted that representatives of the Council of the Republic will take part in the monitoring of the presidential election in Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. A parliamentary delegation of Belarus is also expected to visit the Republic of South Africa.

We will also keep collaborating with interparliamentary institutions. Members of the Council of the Republic will take part in the 129th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as well as in traditional events of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, EurAsEC Parliamentary Assembly and the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe,” Anatoly Rubinov informed.

The MPs will keep working to harmonize and unify Belarusian laws with the legislations of the above-mentioned interparliamentary assemblies. The MPs will also draft the Union State budget for 2014.

Anatoly Rubinov emphasized that the bills to be discussed at the parliamentary session are aimed at creating good preconditions for economic and political development of the state and improving living standards of the population.
