2014 IIHF WC official partners get personal certificates

MINSK, 24 October (BelTA) – Nine companies, official partners of the 2014 IIHF World Championship, who signed sponsorship agreements with the directorate for the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship, have received personal certificates confirming their status, BelTA learnt from Piotr Ryabukhin, manager of the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship directorate.

Certificates were awarded to companies Belgosstrakh, BELAZ, Beltelecom, DKC (Russian Federation), Belaruskali, Coca-Cola Beverages Belarus, Kayson, Kraft Foods, Veka Rus. The awarding ceremony was held as part of the international seminar for sponsors and partners held in Minsk. The organizing committee of the world championship in Belarus has 12 sponsorship packages. There are a number of bidders among big national companies for the three left.

Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation Yevgeny Vorsin handed the certificates to the nine representatives of the 2014 IIHF World Championship partners. Yevgeny Vorsin thanked the heads and labor collectives of all the companies-partners for their decision to support the forthcoming large-scale sport event in Belarus, which has already made a huge contribution in its organization. Yevgeny Vorsin also praised the partners’ considerable sponsor aid that ensures a high-level organization of the international sport forum. According to Yevgeny Vorsin, the organizers have been doing their best to provide the opportunity for as many Belarusian ice hockey fans as possible to attend the feast of this much popular sport in Minsk next year.

The Belarusian organizing committee for the 2014 IIHF World Championship has set the lowest ticket prices in the past four years. Tickets for preliminary-round games of national teams (seven matches) will be sold starting from 28 October 2013.

The 78th IIHF World Championship will take place in Minsk on 9-25 May 2014. The main venues for the championship are Minsk Arena and Chizhovka Arena.
