Belarus-CE cooperation discussed in Strasburg

MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to France met with Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CE) Gabriella Battaini Dragoni in Strasburg on 20 September, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

The parties discussed further cooperation prospects and strengthening the dialogue between Belarus and the Council of Europe.

The parties also talked over cooperation within the European Cultural Convention. The CE Deputy Secretary General emphasized Belarus’ active participation in the European Cultural Convention and invited Belarus to further develop cooperation with an aim at full realization of the potential of this multilateral agreement.

The parties exchanged opinions on the activity of the information office of the Council of Europe in Minsk, discussed the ways to maintain and develop contacts between Belarus and the Council of Europe.
