Belarus to attend international conference on family issues in Astana

MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation will attend the international conference Family and Social Justice of Generations which will open in Kazakhstan’s Astana on 6 September, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Union of Women.

The Belarusian delegation will be led by Regina Davidovich, deputy chairperson of the Belarusian Union of Women, head of the Selchanka branch. She will make a report on family issues at the forum. She will update the delegates on the state support for families in Belarus, which is one of the key areas of the Belarusian social policy and one of the pillars of demographic security. The state family policy is important as it is designed to form a favorable social and cultural environment for family.

The international forum in Astana is timed to coincide with Family Day, which will be celebrated in Kazakhstan on 8 September for the first time.
