NBRB's refinancing rate at 20.5% as from 16 July

MINSK (BelTA) – The refinancing rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) will be reduced to 20.5% on 16 July, Chairperson of the Board of the National Bank Nadezhda Yermakova told reporters on 12 July, BelTA has learned.

The Board of the National Bank has already adopted the decision to lower the refinancing rate from 21.5% to 20.5%. This has been the third cut of the key rate since the beginning of the year. The previous ones were in April and May. Then the rate was also cut by 1%.

On 12 July Beshenkovichi District is hosting an on-site meeting of the Board of the National Bank, with the participation of representatives of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, the heads of all the banks in the region and the heads of local enterprises.
