All-Belarusian People's Congress to focus on 2016-2020 social, economic development program

MINSK (BelTA) – Delegates of the fifth All-Belarusian People's Congress will discuss the program for the country's social and economic development in 2016-2020. Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich made the statement on 15 October, BelTA has learned.

The development of the draft social and economic forecast, the central state budget bill, and the major monetary management guidelines for 2016 is in the final phase. The draft program to guide Belarus' social and economic development in 2016-2020 will be prepared soon, too, said Mikhail Myasnikovich.

In his words, the upper chamber of the Belarus parliament is thoroughly working on these documents with assistance of parliamentarians, well-known specialists and scientists. “We are already working on it. A competent working group has been set up. I have forwarded the first few proposals to Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov and Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Pavel Kallaur,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.
