Belarus, Russia discuss CIS integration efforts

BelTA) – Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich met with Alexander Lukashevich, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the CIS, in Minsk on 11 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed current issues of cooperation within the CIS, paying special attention to the practical aspects of further developing integration processes in the CIS space.
During the meeting, the Belarusian first deputy minister of foreign affairs and Russia’s permanent representative to the CIS in Minsk reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening strategic partnership and alliance between Belarus and Russia, as well as to working together to enhance the effectiveness of the CIS bodies.
