Kochanova, Matviyenko discuss preparations for regional forum

BelTA) – Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko discussed the engagement of MPs in the Union State agenda, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of parliament.
The meeting between the speakers of the upper chambers took place in Moscow on the sidelines of the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
During the meeting, the speakers touched upon issues related to the preparation of the 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia.
Natalya Kochanova and Valentina Matviyenko also focused attention on the cultural and educational project Train of Memory, which will take place this summer. The project was launched in 2022 on the initiative of the speakers of the upper chambers and will be held for the fifth time this year.
