Belarus, Togo considering waiving visas for holders of service, diplomatic passports

MINSK ( BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.69 on 2 March to approve a draft agreement between the governments of the Republic of Belarus and of the Togolese Republic on waiving visas for holders of diplomatic passports and service ones as the basis for conducting negotiations, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

According to the document, citizens of Belarus and Togo, who hold diplomatic and service passports, will be exempt from the requirement to obtain visas for entry, exit, and transit if the duration of their stay in the territory of the host country does not exceed 30 days from the date of entry and the total duration of their stay within a calendar year does not exceed 90 days.

The implementation of the agreement will be another step in the development and strengthening of friendly relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Togolese Republic.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft international agreement and sign it.
