Belarus’ technoparks to branch out further

MINSK ( BelTA) – Belarus’ technoparks will expand the network of their branches. Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Denis Korzhitsky mentioned it at a session of the committee’s board, BelTA has learned.

Denis Korzhitsky said: “The state program on innovative development provides not only for implementing projects but also for taking steps to develop infrastructure. At present 14 scientific and technological parks are operational in addition to five technology transfer centers, the Belarusian Innovative Foundation, the National Center of Intellectual Property. The network of branches of existing technoparks is getting larger, including in the regions. For instance, branches of OOO EnCata’s technoparks have been opened in Bobruisk and Molodechno. A branch of the Brest scientific and technological park has been opened in Baranovichi. Apart from that, the head of state has instructed to set up five sites in Minsk to expand the Minsk City Technopark. In other words, the vector has been chosen in favor of developing the existing entities, of expanding the branch network.”

As of 31 December 2025 the technoparks were home to 267 resident companies. More than 7,000 people are employed by the companies residing in the technoparks. The number grew by 20 % in comparison with 2024. The output by the residents of the technoparks exceeded Br1 billion, 21 % up from 2024. The volume of innovative products made by the resident companies totaled 46.5 % of the total volume of shipments.
