Procedure for providing property to agricultural organizations simplified in Belarus

BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.129 “On simplifying the procedure for providing property to agricultural organizations” on 16 April, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.
The document stipulates that legal entities have the right to provide movable property to agricultural organizations for gratuitous use without the reimbursement of accrued depreciation, maintenance costs, operating expenses, capital and current repairs of such property. They may also write off the residual value of gratuitously transferred property and expenses related to its transfer using additional capital and retained earnings (uncovered loss).
According to the decree, decisions on providing gratuitous (sponsorship) assistance to agricultural organizations may be made by state bodies and organizations without obtaining the relevant consent. The decisions can be made by commercial entities regardless of their financial result if such assistance is provided in the form of movable property.
