BREST (
BelTA) – Chairman of Belarus’ State Customs Committee Vladimir Orlovsky commented on the distribution of duty-free electric vehicle import quotas in 2026, BelTA has learned.
Belarus has announced the quotas for duty-free electric vehicle imports for 2026. Under agreements within the Eurasian Economic Union, the quota stands at 20,000 electric motor vehicles. A government regulation has divided the tariff quota between legal entities (13,800 units) and individuals (6,200 units).
System of electronic queue introduced at all Belarusian border checkpoints on the EU border.
“Given that duty-free import has actually been in effect for four months already, the remaining quota for duty-free import of electric vehicles currently stands at approximately 8,000 for legal entities and about 3,600 for individuals. The quota will be fully utilized during 2026. The customs committee will post weekly updates on the remaining duty-free EV import quota on its Telegram account,” Vladimir Orlovsky said.
