MINSK (
BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has announced an upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin as he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on 15 June, BelTA has learned.
“We communicate almost daily. We have agreed that we will meet in the near future and discuss those problematic issues that may concern us. Our agreement is this: if governments fail to resolve something, it remains under the attention of the two presidents. That is the path we are taking,” the Belarusian leader said.
As BelTA reported earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is on a two-day working visit to Minsk on 14–15 June.
