Lukashenko inks laws on ratifying international agreements with Myanmar, Indonesia, as part of SCO

BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed laws on ratifying three international agreements: with Myanmar and Indonesia as well as within the framework of membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
The law has been signed on ratifying the intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Myanmar on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs. In order to detect, suppress, and investigate customs offenses, the agreement defines the procedure for interaction and the forms of providing mutual assistance by the customs authorities of the two countries.
The president also signed the law on ratifying the agreement between Belarus and Indonesia on the mutual protection of classified information. This international treaty defines the procedure for handling such information, measures for protecting it, and the competent authorities responsible for implementing the agreement.
Apart from that, the law has been signed on ratifying the protocol on amending the agreement on the procedure for forming and executing the SCO budget of 1 December 2017. The international treaty establishes the possibility for the member states of the organization to pay contributions to the SCO budget not only in U.S. dollars but also in other currencies.
