MINSK ( BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.200 “On current (settlement) bank accounts with a special operating regime” on 18 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

The document approved a regulation on the operating regime of such accounts. It defines, among other things, the main requirements for opening and closing them and clarifies the obligations of account holders.

It has been established that a special account shall be opened regardless of whether banks possess decisions on suspending operations on other accounts of the holder or orders to seize funds held in them.

The duties of the special account holder include keeping records of incoming funds, returning them in case of unjustified enrollment, and reimbursing them in full if they are used not according to the intended purpose. Apart from that, the holder is obliged to provide the authorized state body (a public official) with information necessary to control the receipt of funds and their intended use.

Decree No.200 applies to the special accounts that will be opened after it comes into force.
