MINSK (
BelTA) – Cooperation between Belarus and China is an example of mutual trust, respect and support, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said on 29 July at a ceremonial event marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party and the 99th anniversary of the People’s Liberation Army, BelTA has learned.
“There is a Chinese saying: When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind. Throughout its more than century-long history, the Communist Party of China has demonstrated that strong values, strategic vision and the unity of the people enable a country to move confidently forward and overcome any challenges,” Nikolai Snopkov said.
He noted that Chinese civilization has, for thousands of years, taught people to look beyond the horizon of a single generation. “That is why China’s achievements today are not the result of chance, but the natural outcome of consistent development, with each new stage building on the experience of the previous one. Today, the whole world is closely watching China confidently pursue its course toward comprehensively building a strong modern socialist country,” he said.
Nikolai Snopkov said that Belarus is pleased to see the achievements of its all-weather and comprehensive strategic partner. “Our relations are an example of mutual trust, respect and support. They continue to develop steadily thanks to the strategic guidance of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping,” he said.
He recalled that the two leaders met again in Beijing in June 2026. “That meeting was not merely an important event on the bilateral agenda. It once again confirmed that Belarus-China relations retain their unique momentum and strategic depth. The personal trust between Aleksandr Lukashenko and Xi Jinping continues to set a high standard for the entire spectrum of our cooperation,” Nikolai Snopkov said.
“Our countries share the conviction that genuine partnership is built not on circumstances but on mutual respect and trust. I am confident that our cooperation will continue to grow stronger, making a significant contribution to the development of our economies, the well-being of our peoples and the shaping of a just multipolar world. The new Directive practical content of the all-weather and all-round strategic partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China adopted in 2026, the years of industrial cooperation, and the implementation of major investment projects demonstrate how the tasks set by our leaders are transformed into real production facilities, technologies, jobs and new opportunities for future generations,” he stressed.
Nikolai Snopkov wished the People’s Republic of China continued prosperity, and wished the Communist Party of China peace, well-being and further strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities. “May the friendship between Belarus and China, tested by time and common efforts, grow stronger with each passing year, and may our peoples continue to enjoy peace, prosperity and confidence in the future,” he said.
Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin also delivered a speech at the ceremony, highlighting the importance of Belarus-China cooperation and noting that there are no closed topics in interaction between the two countries.
