Belarus, Iran reaffirm commitment to expanding multifaceted cooperation

MINSK ( BelTA) – Belarus and Iran have reaffirmed their readiness for the further development of multifaceted cooperation. The matter was discussed during a meeting between Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich and outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Belarus Alireza Sanei on 13 August, BelTA has learned.

The parties emphasized the positive dynamics of Belarusian-Iranian interaction and the established trust-based dialogue at all levels. They reaffirmed the readiness of both countries for the further development of multifaceted cooperation, including trade, political, economic, humanitarian, and other ties.

The diplomats also highlighted a close alignment on coordinating efforts within international organizations. They also exchanged views on the priority steps needed to implement joint projects aimed at boosting bilateral trade.

Sergei Lukashevich expressed gratitude to Alireza Sanei for his outstanding contribution to fostering Belarus-Iran relations and his successful tenure as ambassador.
