Belarus-India cooperation in economy, industry, science discussed at Ministry of Foreign Affairs

BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov chaired a session of the Belarusian part of the Belarus-India commission on cooperation in economy, trade, industry, science, technology, and culture. The session took place at premises of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BelTA has learned.
Representatives of government agencies, enterprises, and organizations discussed matters concerning the fulfillment of the head of state’s instructions to significantly invigorate cooperation with India in trade, economy, industry, transport, logistics, finance, humanitarian affairs, and other fields.
Participants of the session mentioned positive dynamics of Belarus-India trade cooperation in 2025–2026. The dynamics was facilitated by the high level of the bilateral political dialogue. Healthcare, pharmaceutics, tourism, educational and cultural ties were mentioned among the most promising avenues of advancing the interaction in the future.
Close attention was paid to preparations for forthcoming bilateral events at the top and high levels, including the next session of the intergovernmental commission, and to the expansion of the legal base the cooperation relies on.
As a result of the session Belarusian ministries and commercial entities were assigned concrete tasks with regard to the diversification of commodity flows between the two countries and with regard to the advancement of interbank, investment, technological, and interregional ties.
