MINSK ( BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin chaired a working meeting to review the results of foreign trade in services for the first half of the year, BelTA learned from the government press service.

Ministries and agencies regulating the services sector were invited to the discussion. “In May, when we reviewed the export of our goods, we agreed that after the first half of the year we would review the situation with services exports,” the prime minister said.

Overall, the results of services exports for the first half of the year are encouraging, Aleksandr Turchin said. “But we are all aware of the difficulties in exporting our goods to traditional markets. Therefore, services exports will be a crucial reserve for balanced economic growth in the medium term,” he emphasized.

“That is why the purpose of today’s meeting is not only to critically analyze the situation with services exports, but also to assess the overall state of the services sector in our country,” the prime minister said.
