Belarus hails BRICS as one of most influential institutions of global majority

BelTA) – BRICS is rapidly becoming one of the most authoritative institutions of the global majority, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov said at the BRICS+ summit, BelTA has learned.
“BRICS is rapidly becoming one of the most authoritative institutions of the global majority and a unifying force that is actively shaping the image of the entire world. Naturally, this dynamic process is encountering resistance. We are witnessing growing pressure from states that continue to strive for world dominance. They constantly try to intimidate us with sanctions, economic, trade, and financial restrictions, illegal tariffs, and other measures,” Maxim Ryzhenkov said.
The minister pointed out that such an arbitrary policy of dictatorship cannot offer the world the humane and orderly development model that it needs today. “It is time for our ill-wishers to finally realize that the work of our association poses no threat whatsoever. We have exclusively peaceful and constructive intentions. Of course, we consider the reform of the global governance system and the strengthening of the role of the global majority in decision-making to be one of our goals. But this is crucial for the stable development of the entire world,” the Belarusian minister emphasized.

The Indian capital is hosting delegations from various countries, including BRICS partner states and international organizations. The main theme of the current Indian BRICS chairmanship is Building Resilience and Innovation for Cooperation and Sustainability.
