Belarus to launch mobile app for electronic border queue registration

BelTA) – Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Belarus Vladimir Orlovsky spoke on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel about measures being taken to speed up and facilitate border crossing, BelTA has learned.
“There are certain restrictions on cargo flows at the borders with neighboring countries. First and foremost, this affects people crossing the border and transit through Belarus. We live with these realities and are looking at what we can do on our side to speed up and facilitate the border-crossing process. Of course, the irregular operation of control authorities on the other side leads to queues forming,” Vladimir Orlovsky said.
He stressed that the agency’s priority task is to create comfortable conditions for people waiting to cross the border. Belarus is developing waiting areas near border checkpoints, while travelers can now register in the electronic queue before reaching the border and arrive at a convenient time.
Vladimir Orlovsky noted that remote registration in the electronic queue was introduced in 2026. “We plan to make this registration even more convenient. By the end of 2026, we will develop a software product, a mobile app that will allow people to register in the queue directly from their phones. It will work for both passenger and cargo traffic,” he said.
