Belarusian PM reviews construction sector performance

BelTA) – The performance of the construction sector in January-August 2026 was reviewed at a working meeting chaired by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA learned from the government’s press service.
In addition to the relevant ministers, the discussion brought together deputy chairmen of oblast executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee in charge of the construction sector. The meeting reviewed the reasons for slower growth in some regions and measures to improve the situation by stepping up work on key projects, housing construction, facilities under state and local investment programs, and major repairs.
“The construction sector appears to be showing results above 100 %. But, as I have said, this result cannot satisfy me because we see clear reserves in the construction sector that we need to tap,” Aleksandr Turchin said.
The prime minister once again reminded officials of their personal responsibility for meeting the targets set for them.
