MINSK (
BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a number of laws, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.
The law “On aquaculture (fish farming)” has been passed in order to form the regulatory legal framework that governs relations in this sphere as well as the operation of existing and newly established production facilities.
In particular, the law enshrines a new conceptual apparatus that was previously absent from the legal field: aquaculture, aquaculture objects, pasture aquaculture, fish boxes, recirculating aquaculture systems, and other ones.
Among the main goals and objectives of the law are the formation of legal, economic, and organizational foundations for this sphere; the establishment of rights and obligations of fish farming organizations; the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of legal entities working in this sphere; and the creation of favorable conditions for the development of new production facilities and the emergence of aquaculture objects. In turn, this should contribute to saturating the domestic market with high-quality fish products of domestic origin.
The head of state also signed the laws “On amending the laws on land reclamation” and “On the identification, registration, and traceability of farm animals (herds), and the identification and traceability of products of animal origin”. The documents provide for improving the legislation taking into account the practice of its application as well as bringing it into compliance with the current regulatory legal acts.
