MINSK (
BelTA) – The draft law “On the National Budget for 2027” has been passed by MPs in its first reading, BelTA has learned.
The national budget bill and the projected figures for the budgets of the regions and the city of Minsk for 2027 are based on the country’s social and economic development programs, taking into account the current economic situation.
Lawmakers say the key task for public finances in 2027 will be to use budget funds more efficiently and channel them into promising sectors of the national economy, where investment in the most effective projects can drive industrial growth, energy saving and regional development.
Revenue under the 2027 draft national budget is projected at Br58,903.8 million, 3.5 % above the 2026 revenue estimate.
The main sources of tax revenue for the national budget are value added tax, excise duties and tax revenue from foreign economic activity.
Expenditure under the 2027 draft national budget is set at Br60,834.6 million, or 1.7 % up on the expected 2026 outturn.
The budget will retain its social focus in 2027. Priority goes to funding education and healthcare, as well as measures to improve the quality of life and support families with many children. Family capital is provided for in the amount of Br281.5 million. A significant share of the budget will go to wages, pensions, stipends, benefits and other payments, and to funding state social standards.
The 2027 draft national budget has been drawn up with a deficit of Br1,930.8 million.
